Join our Chicago Benefit to Help Us Fight Epilepsy and SUDEP!

When:  Saturday September 30, 2017, 6:30 - 11 pm

Where:  Theater On The Lake in Chicago, located at 2401 N. Lakeshore Drive; at Fullerton Ave, on the lakefront east of Lakeshore Drive. 

DETAILS: The Danny Did Foundation’s 8th annual fundraising benefit, An Evening of Hearts & Hugs, will be held on September 30th. This event is a fun night out and an opportunity to thank our supporters, celebrate progress against epilepsy, and raise funds to help more families in Danny Stanton’s name.

We are excited to host this event at a recently restored, state-of-the-art venue on Chicago's lakefront: Theater on the Lake. Our event will serve as the grand opening for this beautiful space. Attendees will include supporters, families impacted by epilepsy, medical professionals, public officials, and advocates.

Format: Cocktails and small plates; a silent auction and group giving special appeal; awards; live music. Reminder, this is not a reserved seating event.

DRESS: Cocktail attire.


ONLINE SILENT AUCTION: Our silent auction NOW OPEN online. From this webpage, on "View Items" to browse and place bids. Participants do not need to be present to place bids or to win. The auction will close at 10 pm CST on September 30th. 

LIVE AUCTION: A 3-night getaway to Music City - Nashville, Tennessee - with an incredible package including airfare, luxury hotel accommodations, passes to the 2018 Country Music Association Fest and more! The travel dates for this trip are June 7-10, 2018. The live auction will begin at 8 pm. 

RAFFLE PRIZE: Two round trip tickets on Southwest Airlines to fly anywhere in the domestic United States! 

HONOREES: Danny Did will be proud to honor Gardiner Lapham as our Advocate of the Year. Gardiner advocates in honor of her son, Henry, who was lost to SUDEP at the age of 4.

PARKING: Available in the Lincoln Park Zoo parking lot just south of Fullerton Ave. To access this parking lot, turn south off Fullerton onto Cannon Drive. After you take a ticket at the gate, the lot will be on your left.

*Once you park, you will see Hearts & Hugs signage guiding you to cross to the north side of Fullerton via an underpass walkway. After crossing, walk east to the venue.  
*Be sure to request a validation sticker at the event check-in table for a $17 rate.
DROP OFFS: There is a circle drive in front of Theater on the Lake for convenient drop offs from taxis or Uber, or if you'd like to drop off a friend/spouse before parking.  
VALET: Valet parking will available in the circle drive in front of the venue and is CASH ONLY. Note: to avoid congestion, we encourage drivers who can park and walk to utilize that option.
