DETAILS: This year marks the 11th Annual Epilepsy Awareness Day Expo at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, CA. Patients, caregivers and their families are invited to attend the two-day educational expo, which will be followed on day 3 by a visit inside the Disneyland theme park. Epilepsy Awareness Day at Disneyland was founded by parents Brad and Candy Levy as a tribute to their 20 year-old daughter Sofie, who is now 12 years seizure free. The family now runs a nonprofit called Sofie's Journey.
Over the years, thousands of families have found resources, friendship and community at this event. See below for information about our travel grants for those who seek financial assistance. Danny Did is excited to be a nonprofit partner to this event.
EVENT EXPO: The free EXPO will take place on:
- Monday October 30th: 9 am - 5 pm
- Tuesday October 31st: 9 am - 5 pm, followed by a costume part at 6 pm!
The EXPO will feature over 50 non-profit Epilepsy support groups, hospitals with Epilepsy programs and vendors who service the Epilepsy community. The goal for the EXPO is to give the Epilepsy community a chance to to network with other families who share similar conditions, learn about new treatments and products, and create long term relationships with other families affected by epilepsy.
