Diane's Marathon Swim for Danny Did

Friday, August 20, 2021 - Monday, September 20, 2021
08:00 AM - 11:59 PM

Our Danny Did board member is making waves to protect people with epilepsy and to help prevent SUDEP.

DETAILS: Our fearless Danny Did board member Diane Garvey will be swimming a marathon distance (26.2 miles) in increments of one mile per day. In writing about her motivation she says, "Shortly after Danny Stanton died, I saw banners up in our local neighborhood stores that read: We Love You Danny. How devastating and heartbreaking for the Stanton family and our community. As a parent, one can't imagine the loss."

To raise awareness and funds for the nonprofit that was started in Danny's name, Diane is putting her mind, body and spirit to this 26-mile challenge for the 1 in 26 Americans who will develop epilepsy.
