Join us as Danny's mom and former LU basketball player Mariann (Murtaugh) Stanton receives the Tom "Buzzy" O'Connor Award for displaying courage in the face of adversity.

DETAILS: Loyola University Chicago men's basketball will be celebrating epilepsy awareness on Danny Did Foundation night! During a halftime ceremony of the game against the University of Northern Iowa, Mariann Stanton will accept the Tom "Buzzy" O'Connor award on behalf of Danny Did. The award - named for a former Loyola basketball coach - honors those who exemplify spirit, strength and courage in the face of adversity.

Mariann Stanton and her husband, Mike, founded the Danny Did Foundation in 2010 following the loss of their son, Danny, at age 4. Danny Did Foundation works toward its mission to prevent deaths caused by Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP). The former LU point guard will return to Rogers Park to receive this award with her family.
