10th & Final Danny Stanton Kickball Tournament

This is a family day for fun and friends at Danny Stanton Field in Chicago. Boys and girls in grades K-8 are welcome to take part. Come out to celebrate the 10th and final edition of this community event!


DATE: Saturday July 20, 2019

TIME: Games will begin at 9 am, and the championship games will start at 1 pm. Exact game times will be emailed to parents the week of the event. Games will be played rain or shine, except in the case of lightening. Extra water and cool treats will be on hand to account for the heat, and games length will be shorted. See brackets for each division below.

Who: Girls and Boys in Grades K through 8th. Teams will be co-ed and organized by grade level.

Where: Danny Stanton Field at Edgebrook Park, 6525 N Hiawatha Ave in Chicago. NOTE: The parking lot will be occupied by a farmer's market. Street parking is available on Central Ave, Hiwatha Ave and Ionia Ave. Click here to view the event site map.

Registration: Online only at The discounted early bird entry fee of $19 ends on July 1st. On July 2nd, the cost increases to $25.

DETAILS: This 10th edition will be the swan song of the Danny Stanton Kickball tournament, an event we have enjoyed so much over the years. Registration includes a two-game minimum, a t-shirt, and food and drinks. NOTE: this event may sell out, so don't wait to sign up. Parents or caregivers must supervise children at all times. 

Proceeds benefit the Danny Did  Foundation and its mission to prevent deaths caused by seizures. This event is held in the spirit of Danny's life and we encourage and appreciate great sportsmanship. 

Teams will be organized into three divisions, by grade: K-2nd grade; 3rd-4th grade; and 5-8th grade. This event is meant to be low stress and and is held in the spirit of fun. Games will be played rain or shine, unless there is lightning.
