May 19th 2012: 3rd Annual Evening of Hearts & Hugs 
Register today for our 3rd annual signature event! An Evening of Hearts & Hugs will be held in the Jean Marie Ryan Center at Misericordia (6300 N. Ridge, Chicago) from 6- 10 pm on Saturday May 19th. We’ll be proud to honor two exemplary advocates: Dr. Elson So, one of the nation’s foremost epileptologists from the Mayo Clinic, and Vice President of the American Epilepsy Society; and Warren Lammert, Chairman and Co-Founder of the Epilepsy Therapy Project and Epilepsy.com. $80 admission ($90 @ the door) includes plentiful hors d’oeuvres, beer, wine and cocktails, live music, and a diverse silent and live auction featuring dinner at Girl and the Goat, vacation homes in Galena and Florida, a cocktail cruise on Lake Michigan, comedy club tickets, hotel stays, a group party at Public House and more. May 21 – 25, 2012: Jon Duresky’s “Hike For A Cure” on the Appalachian Trial
Grandfather Jon Duresky will for the second consecutive year hike 70+ miles along the Appalachian Trial in the Smoky Mountains to raise money and awareness for epilepsy. June 10, 2012: Buzz Cuts and Purple Hair in Norwood Park
Danny Stanton did love a good Buzz Cut. At this fun event hosted by Do or ‘Dye Hair Salon on Sunday June 10th, all buzz cuts (or ‘regular’ boys/men’s haircuts) are free with a donation to the foundation. BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND: For women and girls, the stylists will give purple hair extensions – so bring your daughters, mom and sisters too! The extensions are also complimentary with a donation to Danny Did. Purple is the official color of Epilepsy awareness. This event runs from 11 am to 4 pm. Do or ‘Dye Hair Salon is located at 6501 N. Nina in Norwood Park. No reservations involved, just stop on by. Thank you to the great staff at Do or ‘Dye!

June 22-24, 2012: Partners Against Mortality in Epilepsy Conference
This three-day learning event held at the Hilton Orrington in Evanston, Ill. is the first Partners Against Mortality in Epilepsy (PAME) conference devoted predominantly to Sudden Unexpected Death In Epilepsy (SUDEP). Medical professionals, patients and families will come together to support each other and advance understanding. This event is a joint effort of SUDEP Coalition partners, with meeting coordination and production by the American Epilepsy Society. Danny Did Foundation is a proud sponsor of this conference. October 7, 2012: Team Danny Did in the 2012 Bank of America Chicago Marathon
Online registration for the 2012 Bank of America Chicago Marathon closed in record time – only six days! – but there is still a way to be a part of the 45,000-runner field in the world’s second largest marathon if you run for Team Danny Did!
