DETAILS: The 4th Annual Epilepsy Awareness Day at Disneyland Resort will take place on November 3, 2016. All families and advocates are invited to attend this event and join the epilepsy community to turn Disney purple! Epilepsy Awareness Day at Disneyland was founded by parents Brad and Candy Levy as an awareness-building tribute to their 15 year-old daughter Sofie, who is now six years seizure free. More than 1,000 supporters attended in 2015. We hope you join us on November 3rd to top that number, while advancing awareness of epilepsy in partnership with the iconic Disney brand. Danny Did is excited to once again be a partner to this event.
EVENT EXPO: From 10 am to 5 pm on November 2nd, a free EXPO at The Disneyland Hotel will feature over 50 non-profit Epilepsy support groups, hospitals with Epilepsy programs and vendors who service the Epilepsy community. The goal for the EXPO is to give the Epilepsy community a chance to unite in a setting with ample time to network with other families who share similar conditions, learn about new treatments and products, and hopefully, create long term relationships with others which would prove this event to be a success.
As part of the EXPO, there will be a full schedule of speakers addressing a range of topics that impact families who face epilepsy. Citizens United For Research in Epilepsy (C.U.R.E.) will also be hosting its "Day of Science" program as a part of this educational event.
